Starting on the western side of Kilimanjaro, this route takes you through diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to scenic moorlands, providing stunning views of the mountain. While shorter than the traditional 8 to 7-day option, the 6-day itinerary requires a faster pace, making it more physically demanding. A guide and the mountain support crew will meet you at the hotel before heading to Kilimanjaro National Park’s Londorossi Gate, located at the western entrance. The journey takes about 3–4 hours by vehicle. Once there, you’ll quickly handle the formalities of getting your climbing permits and registering with the search and rescue team. Afterward, the group will continue up the mountain in off-road vehicles, ascending to the drop-off point at 3,610 meters (11,841 feet), where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau.
