Itinerary

Day 1: Aiport pick up to Arusha.

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted with a glass of champagne, courtesy of our airport representative. They will assist with your visa and luggage, ensuring a smooth transition. You will then meet your safari guide, who will transport you to Arusha, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations at your lodge.

Arusha, often referred to as “A” Town by locals, sits at the base of Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth-highest peak. The city’s altitude provides pleasant climate and lush surroundings. While Arusha might appear as a mere transit point for many, its natural beauty and vibrant local culture offer a unique charm for those willing to explore beyond the typical tourist experience.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a leisurely breakfast at your charming lodge nestled amidst a sprawling coffee farm, your guide will greet you and drive you to Tarangire National Park for an exciting full-day game drive. Your driver will ensure a delightful picnic lunch, including soup, bread rolls, a main course, fruit salad, and beverages such as wine or coffee, is expertly prepared and served. The day will continue with a game drive until evening, followed by a return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park, located off the main safari circuit, offers a serene and authentic safari experience. Renowned for its impressive elephant migrations and exceptional birdwatching, Tarangire remains a hidden gem often overlooked by travelers who either bypass it or spend only a brief time in the park, leaving its untouched beauty largely unexplored.

Day 3: Leisure Day at Maramboi Tented Camp.

Today, you will have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, you may choose to have a walking safari guided by an experienced Masai guide and in the afternoon, back to the lodge for lunch. You’ll have a leisure sundowner on the tranquil shores of Lake Manyara with a drink in hand after the day’s excitement of exploring the bush and then back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

The true safari experience is evident everywhere. A handful of luxury vintage tents guarantee an intimate experience with this untamed land. Unfenced territory sees animals move through the camp. Watch cheetahs sprint across the savannah; observe elephant herds on the move; and thrill at the rare sight of tree-climbing lions.

Day 3-5 Southern Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast at the camp, we will transfer to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your flight to Serengeti South, where you will enjoy a 2-night all-inclusive stay at the exclusive Mwiba Lodge. Set atop majestic stone boulders and surrounded by ancient coral trees and acacias, this private lodge offers breathtaking views over the Arugusinyai River’s rocky gorge and the vast, lush landscapes of the Southern Serengeti.

Day 6: Central Serengeti (Seronera)

After breakfast at the lodge, you will head out on a morning game drive as you make your way to the airstrip for a short flight to Seronera, the heart of Serengeti. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive before checking into your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Seronera region is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including a significant population of the Big Five. The Serengeti boasts Africa’s largest lion population, with over 3,000 lions thriving here due to the rich prey base. African leopards, elusive yet commonly spotted in Seronera, add to the park’s allure, with an estimated 1,000 leopards found throughout the Serengeti.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater.

Depart after breakfast, and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day tour at the crater. Your driver will set and prepare the table for a hot lunch with soup, bread rolls, the main dish, and fruit salad, followed by a glass of wine or tea and coffee. In the evening, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20 km across, 600 meters deep, and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.

This gentle exploration provides a unique perspective on wildlife tracks and the serene isolation of the landscape, guided by an expert and accompanied by an armed ranger for safety.

After this invigorating walk, return to the lodge for lunch before heading to Arusha for an overnight stay at the Legendary Lodge. The route along the Western rim showcases stunning viewpoints, including the dramatic Oloirobi and expansive vistas over the Crater, Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti, and the Gol Mountains.
