Start your day with an early breakfast before tackling the Barranco Wall. We suggest departing the camp as early as possible to bypass the crowds and avoid delays. The ascent up the gorge wall is relatively straightforward and takes about an hour. Once at the top, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest and capture photos of the stunning Kibo volcano.
Following this, you’ll face a more challenging hike to Karanga Camp, characterized by several ascents and descents. Our guides will ensure a pace that suits the group’s needs. Upon reaching the camp, a warm lunch will be served. Afterward, you’ll undertake an acclimatization hike towards Barafu Camp, gaining 200 meters (656 feet) in altitude before returning to Karanga Camp.
