Your group will depart from Barafu Camp (4,673 m / 15,327 ft) during the night, beginning the final ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,336 ft), the highest point on Kilimanjaro. While the technical aspects of the climb are straightforward, the high altitude can make even basic movements challenging. To ensure safety and comfort, each pair of climbers will be assigned a personal guide for close monitoring of their physical and mental state throughout the climb.
After reaching Uhuru Peak, you may choose to visit the nearby glacier before descending back to Barafu Camp. There, you’ll have a 2-hour rest before continuing your descent to Mweka Gate. Upon reaching the gate, the entire group will gather to celebrate your accomplishment. You’ll have the opportunity to share your climb experience with our Director or Manager. Finally, we’ll present you with your commemorative certificate and arrange for your transfer back to the hotel.
